Pressure to finish remodels in the real estate investment industry can lead to a lot of cut corners with the finished product. Shown below is an image of a rushed painting job by an unknown contractor. As you can see the caulking line used to finish off the painting design is an unattractive yellowish hue and clearly housing debris. What went wrong with this remodel is the contractor painted the baseboards before installing them, and then relied on the caulking strip for their line. Big mistake. Because the contractor did not paint their finishing line instead of rushing the job, this homeowner paid the additional expense to have it painted properly.
